Highland Birchwoods

Highland Birchwoods: a partnership initiative to promote and stimulate the development of a local woodland economy and culture in the Scottish Highlands.

SNH

Scottish Natural Heritage: the public agency responsible for nature conservation in Scotland. SNH provided the secretariat for the Project.

All of these organisations are members of the Caledonian Partnership which co-ordinates a number of projects, including the Wet Woods LIFE Project, aimed at conserving and restoring Scotland's semi-natural forest resource.
